This year’s Week of Caring kick-off event will take place at the Canal Market District in Downtown Newark on Friday, September 10. Volunteers will join together for a meal, hear updates to the UWLC campaign, and kick-off a week of serving the community. Contact Jamie Holderman at jholderman@unitedwaylc.org to register.

The United Way of Licking County is announcing the annual Pot of Gold lottery! Tickets are $10 and proceeds from the POT OF GOLD will be used to help essential programs and services funded by the United Way of Licking County. Every ticket is eligible for all drawings. Once your ticket is drawn, it is placed back in the hopper and is eligible for another win during the same drawing or another drawing. Every ticket is eligible for all drawings. Dates for Drawings will be held on the 2nd Fridays:

 

  1. Sept. 9, 2022 – $150, $200, $250 (Week of Caring kickoff!)
  2. October 14, 2022 – $150, $200, $250
  3. November 11, 2022 – $100, $200, $250, $1000
  4. December 9, 2022 – $150, $200, $250, $3000

Please join Women United on November 17th at 5:00 PM at Thirty One West located at 31 W Church St, Newark, OH 43055.

We will be hearing from The Center for New Beginnings, a program of The Woodlands.  

To foster conversation and further our impact, Women United’s tradition is to undertake a collective activity at our quarterly events. At the November 17th gathering, we will we will be collecting supplies for the shelter: paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, first aid supplies, disinfectant wipes, laundry baskets, $10 gas cards, non-bleach floor cleaner, multipurpose cleaner, kitchen trash bags, AA & AAA batteries, person of color products (hair care, lotions, hair tools), body wash, deodorant, sugar, coffee creamer. Please consider bringing a few items to donate. Thank you in advance!

All events are ticketed and include food and a keynote speaker. There will also be a cash bar. All who support empowering women and children in Licking County are welcome to attend.
