Refreshing Conversations

I woke early just outside the Babcock Building at the Hartford Fairgrounds. I had some time to get some paper work done before I had to pack up the tent and my bag and say goodbye to the Fair Staff and head east.

I walked to the Williams Farm where I was greeted and welcomed by Don and Marcie Williams and their dog Bubba J.

We enjoyed a nice conversation about farming and then we were joined by the Horse & Hound and Clover Connections 4-H groups. Together we enjoyed some refreshments and time to talk about United Way and the issues that we will be focusing on for the next few years. The kids were all very attentive and interested in the issues and how they could help out.

We finished up around 9:00 p.m. and then it was time for some sleep.
