MISSION:  To provide depression and suicide prevention education to middle and high school students.  The program teaches students to recognize the signs of depression in themselves and classmates, discusses the link between depression and suicide; and provides resources for help.

Pathways of Central Ohio is a gateway to services which empower the community to achieve success.  Pathways is a private, non-profit social service agency serving Licking, Knox, Richland, Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties. Pathways was established in 1968 and incorporated in 1970.

PROGRAM: 2-1-1 Crisis Hotline & Information Center

MISSION:  The 2-1-1 Crisis/Hotline and Information Center of Pathways of Central Ohio offers confidential 24-hour, 7-day- a-week telephone crisis services for issues involving mental health, suicide, alcohol and drug use/abuse, and intellectual disabilities.   Information and referral services include assistance in linking callers with resources such as temporary housing, financial help, medical care, counseling, victim assistance, domestic violence resources, suicide prevention, and resources for senior citizens.  The center also is the main point of contact for community emergencies or disasters, sponsors a Recovery Line for persons recovering from mental illness, and provides after-hours coverage for many Licking and Knox County social service agencies.

PROGRAM: Emergency Assistance

MISSION: The program addresses immediate crisis needs by providing a safety net of services including providing emergency shelter for up to 90 days, providing financial assistance to clients who are behind on their rent or utilities, providing meals at its soup kitchens, school supplies and summer feeding program for children, and gifts and food for Christmas.


The Simon Kenton Council is one of the largest councils in the nation serving 17 counties in central and southern Ohio and Greenup County in northern Kentucky. The council is staffed by more than 40 professional and administrative Scouters with more than 6,500 adult volunteers delivering the Scouting program to more than 18,000 youth.

MISSION:  The program encompasses the Cub Scouts, serving youth in grades 1-5 through family-oriented programming;  Boy Scouts, serving youth from grades 5 through ages 18 in youth led, self-directed programming that teaches life skills, STEM, citizenship, and develops leadership skills; and co-ed programming for youth age 14 to 20 where participants focus on a common interest, usually a high-adventure activity like canoeing, shooting sports, camping or rappelling, while developing the same life skills, service orientation and leadership skills.

MISSION:   To provide provide sober community living for men, women and children. Recovery
housing exists to provide housing support while residents adjust to sobriety and the responsibilities of
everyday life. Recovery Residences are distinct in that they are neither addiction treatment nor mutual-aid
groups (such as AA). They seek to focus beyond the individual to create a space where personal recovery
can flourish.
